Placing Orders

To ensure proper staffing, ordering, and quality standards for our customers, catering requests must be made at least 7 business days prior to your event. For large and specialty events we ask you to consider planning at least 10 business day in advance.

Guarantees

Final counts are due 3 business days prior to your event, by 12noon. If a final guarantee is not received, we will consider the number indicated in the original order, or the latest count, to be correct. The guarantee is not subject to reduction after the deadline. Your billing is based on the final count. If the number of guests is higher than your final guarantee, we will charge accordingly.

Location and Equipment Reservation

Your location needs to be reserved through the Conference and Special Event Office. Requests for tables and chairs needed for catering services must be ordered through the Facilities Department.

Catering by Bon Appétit does not supply trash bins or recycling receptacles. If your event is being held at an outdoor location it is recommended that additional trash receptacles and recycling bins are arranged as needed through Facilities. The client is responsible for prearranging tables needed for food services. Please include tables needed for back of house catering set up.

Event Minimums

$300.00 food & beverage minimum for events taking place Saturday or Sunday. $150.00 food minimum for events taking place after 5 pm Monday – Friday. Certain menu items require a quantity minimum. See Menu for those items.

Revisions and Cancellations

All revisions will be made via CaterTrax, please note the revisions are not final / confirmed until a catering administrator authorizes the changes. Should your event require changes less than three days prior to your event date, a 25% charge will be added to your final bill. 48-hour notice is requested for cancellation of all orders. A minimum of 75% service charge is assessed if cancellations are made after the cut off time. Orders cancelled within 48 hours will be subject to food and labor expenses incurred by Catering by Bon Appétit.

Event Staffing

Staffing is charged at $30.00 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours. If you are planning an event for more than 30 people with China plates a server is required to work that function. Chefs to run a grill or an interactive station are $30.00 per hour.

Bar and Beverage Service

Bar set up fee of $1.00 per person for a beer and wine bar This includes non-alcoholic beverages as well as ice, and cocktail napkins. Bar set up fee of $2.00 per person for a full bar. This includes non-alcoholic beverages as well as ice, mixers, garnishes, cocktail napkins. Bartenders are charged at a rate of $30.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum.

Delivery Service

Deliveries off campus will be subject to a $50.00 delivery fee

Leftovers

We try to plan your event so that there will be little food left. Because of State health regulations, perishable leftovers may not be taken from the event and shall not be packaged for removal of premises. Catering by Bon Appétit will not be held responsible for food items removed without our knowledge and prior consent.
